One of the most prominent Czech violinists of today, Jaroslav Svěcený studied at the Prague Conservatory and the Academy of Performing Arts, refining his artistry with Nathan Milstein and Gidon Kremer. He has recorded over forty albums, many awarded gold and platinum, and was the first Czech violinist to record for Sony Classical. He has received the Masaryk Academy of Arts Award and the Presidential Golden Plaque. Beyond classical performance, he collaborates with Cigánski Diabli and leads the multimedia project Vivaldianno. He is also a respected expert on violin history and supports charitable organizations including UNICEF.
