Elogio Guitar Trio

on the occasion of the 400th anniversary of the death of John Dowland
Trio Elogio, one of the prominent ensembles of today's classical guitar scene, was founded in 2008/2009 at the Zagreb Academy of Music by Petrit Çeku (Kosovo), Pedro Ribeiro Rodrigues (Portugal), and Tomislav Vukšić (Croatia). The ensemble performs in the classical guitar trio format, presenting a repertoire that includes both works originally written for solo guitar and three-guitar arrangements of pieces composed for piano or orchestra. The trio has appeared at major festivals on the European classical music scene, particularly in Croatia. Their repertoire spans from the Classical period to the modern era, with a special focus on works written for guitar trio by contemporary composers.
The ensemble meets the festival audience in Turkey for the first time.
