Plagued by early-onset musicianitis (much to his parents' dismay), Gidi Kalchhauser
made his way to the upright bass via piano, guitar, electric bass, and drums. Absorbing
influences by all these instruments, he often strays from the righteously ordained path of
harmonic foundation to complement melodies with playful counterpoint before acting up
in unruly solo episodes.
