Born in Kansas in 1953, he began his musical career in the 1970s and quickly became one of the most respected figures on the jazz scene. His work with Art Blakey's Jazz Messengers established him as a celebrated performer and composer recognized worldwide.

In this concert, Watson is joined by Jordan Williams on piano, Victor Jones on drums, and Curtis Lundy on double bass.
