The Festival Orchestra, composed of some of Turkey's leading musicians, will perform at the opening concert of the festival held in memory of Cenap And, one of the founders of our foundation. The orchestra will be conducted by esteemed conductor Orhun Orhon, and the soloist will be mezzo-soprano Ezgi Karakaya.

Karakaya began her musical education at the Anadolu University State Conservatory, Opera Department, graduating in 2010 as the top of her class. In the same year, she joined the Ankara State Opera and Ballet. She has won first prizes and special awards in numerous national and international singing competitions, representing Turkey successfully at prestigious contests such as BBC Cardiff Singer of the World, Hans Gabor Belvedere, Leyla Gencer, Marie Kraja, and Ottavio Ziino.

She has performed major works by composers including Verdi, Mozart, Mahler, and Saygun, and has portrayed strong mezzo-soprano roles such as Carmen, Amneris, Santuzza, and Ulrica. Karakaya made her European stage debut in 2020 at the Iași National Opera in Romania, performing the role of Amneris in Aida, and she continues her career with the Ankara State Opera and Ballet.
